Disney Wish - Concierge - Stateroom 11002

The room is beautiful with full-length windows overlooking the front of the ship. It provides extra seating room (in place of a verandah) in addition to a Murphy bed and sleeper sofa. The bathrooms have lots of storage space and include rainfall shower heads. We loved this room!

The Disney Wish

The Wish is one of the new Triton class ships. This ship is larger than the other ships currently in the DCL fleet and offers more variety in venues and activity spaces. The dining areas are a bit crowded, but there are ample spaces for kids and adults to explore.

Stops & Excursions:

• Nassau, Bahamas - Atlantis Coral Tower Cabana (N65) and Atlantis Aquaventure (N25)

We had fun on the waterslides, but the facilities need an upgrade. It also took over an hour for the Atlantis staff to locate our cabana, which was not in the Coral Tower area but in the Posideon kids' play area. Once we got to our cabana, we were advised that most of the food options were not available and drink selections were limited to the bar that was less than 10 yards from the cabana. (As this was almost the same price as the Castaway Cay cabana, I would recommend going that route and skipping this one.)

ATLANTIS POSIDEON CABANA 16

• Disney Castaway Cay - Family Beach Cabana 02 Castaway Cay is always one of our favorite stops. This beautiful private island is easily accessible and offers a wide array of activities. Since we were concierge on this trip, we were able to book one of the highly sought-after family cabanas! They are a bit expensive, but worth the price. We had a reserved area on a private beach (for cabana guests only) and first-class service from the concierge staff. The reservation also included snorkeling gear, rafts/floats, beach chairs/umbrellas, and a golf cart ride to the door of the cabana. The cabana was close to the activities and it was a quick walk to the waterslide and snorkeling area. Recommendation: Highly recommend it!

Additional Onboard Services:

• Concierge The concierge lounge was amazing. The service is spectacular! We were able to order a hot breakfast at the lounge every morning. In the late afternoons, we enjoyed an energizing latte from the coffee machine. The evening happy hour for free drinks in the lounge (which is 5 hours long) was an unexpected treat...the service was excellent, snacks were plentiful, and the drinks were top-tier. The deck included a hot tub and sun ledge. They were often empty, so we enjoyed some peaceful evenings overlooking the ocean from a lounge chair or hot tub. We all enjoyed the incredibly soft pool towels...how do they get them so soft? Our tween loved the free Dole Whip smoothie machine out on the deck.
  

  The additional benefits of the concierge stateroom included: advanced booking for excursions, early arrival and welcome reception, concierge team access, priority disembarkation, etc.
  

  Overall, we found it took our experience to the next level. We look forward to doing this again in the future. Recommendation: Highly recommend it!
  

DISNEY WISH CONCIERGE LOUNGE

• Halloween on the High Seas We loved the festive fall decor, including the amazing Pumpkin Tree! The decorations put us in the "spirit" of the season. The themed drink and dessert options were spooktacular. We were a little disappointed that they did not have any of the new Halloween popcorn buckets on our sailing. The trick-or-treating was limited to bags of candy passed out on Deck 11 (but the bags were generously filled with lots of good candy). The Mouse-querade party was a lot of fun. It was great to see all of the characters in costume (as well as fellow passengers). Be prepared there will be some pretty long lines for photo ops with the characters in costume...but it's worth the effort! If you enjoy the "spirit" of Halloween, this is the cruise for you! Recommendation: Highly recommend it!

• Hook's Barbery Hooks Barbery has a great atmosphere and amazing old-fashioned cocktails. Recommendation: Highly recommend it!
  

Additional Notes/Recommendations:

Dad

• If you need 45 minutes of relaxation, check out the Captain's Shave at Hook's Barbery. (Dads deserve some self-care too!)

• Donald's Cantina has amazing tacos, burritos, and bowls. For lunch, this was by far the favorite!

Mom

• The concierge lounge on the Wish is fantastic! The staff is amazing and I love that they have a kitchen, so they offer hot food options throughout the day. The 5-hour-long happy hour with free drinks between 5 PM - 10 PM every day was a fantastic bonus! I will say that now that we have experienced the concierge-level services, it will be hard not to book them going forward. (However, it will likely be limited to trips under 5 days due to the cost). Try the Dulce de Leche Mickey cookie...they are amazing!

• For themed cruises, characters are in seasonal costumes and the lines for the character photos are long. Arrive early and make a plan :)

Tween

• Try the Cloud Em Blue (don't worry Mom, it is non-alcoholic) - it looks amazing and tastes even better!

  

• Check out the Hero Zone! This is THE spot for indoor fun...including basketball, corn hole, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and shuffleboard.

• The EDGE club is the place to be! There are lots of screens/gaming consoles for the gamers. If gaming is not your thing, there are also plenty of planned activities and opportunities to hang out with friends. You can even bring your lunch in to eat at the bar with friends.

• FREE ICE CREAM - Do you think the free ice cream thinks about me too??
