2024 December - Disney Wish - 3-Night Very Merrytime Cruise from Port Canaveral
Updated: Jan 22, 2025
Disney Wish - Concierge - Stateroom 12030
The room is beautiful with a wonderful verandah. The bathrooms have lots of storage space and include rainfall shower heads. It's in a less trafficked area of the 12th floor with convenient access to the concierge lounge. We loved this room!

DISNEY WISH CONCIERGE STATEROOM 12030
Ship:
The Disney Wish
The Wish is the first of the new Wish-class ships. This ship is larger than the other ships currently in the DCL fleet and offers more variety in venues and activity spaces. The dining areas are a bit crowded, but there are ample spaces for kids and adults to explore.

Stops & Excursions:
Nassau, Bahamas - We opted to skip this stop to spend more time on board enjoying the Merrytime events and Incredi-Games (see below).
Disney Castaway Cay - Family Beach Cabana 10 Castaway Cay is always one of our favorite stops. This beautiful private island is easily accessible and offers a wide array of activities. It was even more fun to see it decked out for the holidiays. We loved seeing the ocean-themed holiday decor all over the island!
We booked our concierge at the last minute, so we didn't think we would get a cabana. However, we spoke with the concierge hosts to be placed on the wait list and a one opened up. It may have been due to the cloudy weather in the morning, but the skies quickly cleared for a beautify day on the beach! We had a reserved area on a private beach (for cabana guests only) and first-class service from the concierge staff. The reservation also included snorkeling gear, rafts/floats, beach chairs/umbrellas, and a golf cart ride to the door of the cabana. The cabana was close to the activities and it was a quick walk to the waterslide and snorkeling area. Recommendation: Highly recommend it!

Additional Onboard Services:
Concierge The concierge lounge was amazing. The service is spectacular! We were able to order a hot breakfast at the lounge every morning. In the late afternoons, we enjoyed an energizing latte from the coffee machine. The evening happy hour for free drinks in the lounge (which is 5 hours long) was an unexpected treat...the service was excellent, snacks were plentiful, and the drinks were top-tier. The deck included a hot tub and sun ledge. They were often empty, so we enjoyed some peaceful evenings overlooking the ocean from a lounge chair or hot tub. The lounge was also beautifully decorated for the holidays and offered special holiday treats throughout the day!
The additional benefits of the concierge stateroom included: advanced booking for excursions, early arrival and welcome reception, concierge team access, priority disembarkation, etc.
Overall, we found it took our experience to the next level. We look forward to doing this again in the future. Recommendation: Highly recommend it!
DISNEY WISH CONCIERGE LOUNGE
Very Merrytime Cruise Events We loved the festive holiday decor, including the amazing Christmas Tree! The decorations put us in the spirit of the season. The Christmas Tree lighting event was short, but fun...and had a surprise appearance from Santa! We also enjoyed the pictures with Santa event in front of the beauitful Christmas tree. It was complete with free cocoa and cookies for all of the guests. The It was great to see all of the characters in their festive attire. Be prepared there will be some pretty long lines for photo ops with the characters in costume...but it's worth the effort! If you enjoy all things Christmas, this is the cruise for you! Recommendation: Highly recommend it!

Hero Zone - Incredi-Games We love the Hero Zone on the Wish. This indoor play area with basketball, ping pong, corn hole, air hockey and foosball...is a fun family spot on any sailing. Since we opted to stay on board when the ship docked in Nassau, we were able to take part in the Incredi-Games. An inflatable obstacle course that allows you to race family or fellow passengers through a fun filled race. It's harder than you think, but also more fun than you can imagine!! SO MUCH FUN!!
Recommendation: Highly recommend it!
Additional Notes/Recommendations:
Dad
The Incredi-Games are rigged...just kidding. But, I recommend using some creativity if you want any chance of beating the kiddos. (Sometimes the staff will have mercy on the adults and give you a five second head start. If not, I resorted to blatantly cheating by running to the side of the tunnel or between the inflatable springs...those things are a trap!)
Mom
If you miss out on those coveted reservations (such as cabanas), don't be afraid to ask to be put on the waitlist...you may get lucky!
Tween
Challenge the parents to the Incredi-Games. Watch them try to get through the inflatable springs...Mom and Dad sold every time...it was hilarious!
Pro tip: Tuck in your shirt for that last big slide...to avoid friction burns :)
Until next time...
